Marine Subsea christens its latest addition, an ULSTEIN SX121 type vessel to be named Sarah, there will be an open ceremony on the quay. Singer Sissel Kyrkjebø will be there; she is internationally renowned, with appearances on some of the world’s greatest stages. On Saturday her stage will be the quay at Ulstein Verft, and her backdrop, Sarah. Kyrkjebø will hold a mini-concert with a brief appearance by Norway’s newest star, Eurovision Song Contest winner Alexander Rybak. Haddy N’jie will MC the concert and christening ceremony with accompaniment by the Ulstein men’s chorus. After the ceremony, food and beverages will be served and visitors later invited aboard the ship.
When Sarah features the characteristic ULSTEIN X-BOW®, enabling her to operate under all weather conditions while remaining steady and comfortable for the crew. Equipped for 100 persons, the 120-meter-long and 25-meter-wide vessel is an impressive sight. She has a tower, moonpool, ROV hangar, crane and helideck as well as numerous sophisticated technical subtleties.
This is oil service company Marine Subsea’s first vessel from the Ulstein Group. Marine Subsea provides oil and gas services mainly in West Africa, with three vessels in service and five under construction. Sarah will be handed over to Marine Subsea about a week after the christening and then put into service for the Angolan state oil company Sonangol.

The quay area will open to the public, providing a look inside the dock hall. The hall measures 37 meters from base to crane hook and is 140 meters long. The hall currently houses the hull and sections for Olympic Hera, currently under construction.

Hotdogs, soft drinks, cake and coffee will be served in the quay area.
1500-1800 OPEN SHIP
Special guests at the christening will leave the ship, which will then open to the public.
