OCEANIC VEGA IS NAMED

The naming ceremony for Oceanic Vega took place in Ulsteinvik today Friday 2 July at 12:00 a.m.

Oceanic Vega is an ULSTEIN SX120 type, a powerful seismic research vessel built by Ulstein Verft. She is the first of two vessels of the SX120 type designed by Ulstein Design & Solutions for the shipowner Eidesvik Offshore. The vessel will go into a 12-year contract for CGG Veritas, with options for five years.

The ladysponsor was Christine Chambovet from France. She is married to Gérard Chambovet who is director of human resources, communication and HSE of CGG Veritas. She is working as a painter, sculptor and actor.
