POLARCUS NAILA IS DELIVERED

Yard number 67 Polarcus Naila, was delivered 24 February from Drydocks World Dubai in the United Arab Emirates. This is the second of six Ulstein designed seismic vessels for Polarcus.

Polarcus Naila is a 12 streamer 3D seismic research vessel designed to fulfil the demands of the seismic offshore industry. The vessel with an X-BOW® line design combined with diesel-electric propulsion system ensures excellent performances with regards to fuel consumption, sea-keeping and speed. 

According to Polarcus, the vessel is purposed to work for Noble Energy Cameroon Ltd outside West Africa.

Polarcus Naila is the sister ship to Polarcus Nadia, delivered 14 December 2009.

A vessel of the same type, WG Amundsen, was delivered 16 February to shipowner Western Geco. WG Amundsen is the third vessel in a series of six for this shipowner.
